Our Prayer and Giving Campaign for 2026
We're seeking to make room for more people to be welcomed to Jesus Christ.
God is up to something good at our church right now.
God is up to something good at our church right now. I grew up in this church. I've pastored here 15 years. I've never seen a season like this one. People are getting saved. Sunday attendance jumped sharply this spring and summer. Dozens are in every membership class. We have more kids than we've ever had. Our youth group is growing year over year. In counseling, we’re seeing: addictions broken, patterns broken, real freedom. But where is God leading us in this season?
We think we can summarize where God is taking us in a simple statement: "Come and welcome to Jesus Christ."
That phrase comes from John Bunyan and is our heart for the city of El Paso. Our city has many needs on the surface, but underneath all of them is the need every human heart has — to come to Christ, to come to a family in Christ, to come to a renewed purpose in Christ. So very practically, in this next season we want to make our building and property as welcoming as we can to our community.

Here’s where we need to invest finances:
- Parking. We want people to be able to easily find parking.
- Patio. We believe in lingering — coffee, donuts, conversation so we want to make more space for it out front.
- Auditorium. We need to enable the most seats possible and do some key maintenance so walking in is welcoming.
- Landscaping. We want to add landscaping and sidewalks around our whole property to be welcoming to our neighbors.
- Necessary maintenance. Grading, erosion, flood control. This is just part of stewardship.
Here’s where we need to invest prayer:
Each point holds a prayer for our church, then a prayer for you. Pray them through this month - alone, at table, in your group.
1. Pray that the Lord would give us all a heart for the lost in El Paso and beyond.
CHURCH — Lord, make us a church with a deep heart for the lost.
ME — Lord, give me a heart for the lost, and bring to mind those around me I can reach.
2. Pray that we would rightly discern what the Lord is doing in our church and city, and join him.
CHURCH — Lord, give our church and our pastors discernment and wisdom. ME — Lord, help me see how I am meant to be part of what you are doing in our church and city.
3. Pray that God would give us the funding we need to welcome more people into our building and church life.
CHURCH — Lord, give us what's needed for property improvements and for the future.
ME — Lord, help me discern what you're calling me to contribute to this work.
4. Pray for more volunteers taking up the work of church life across our groups and teams.
CHURCH — Lord, make our church a family of happy Christians eager to serve.
ME — Lord, help me see where you want me to serve in this season of the church.
5. Pray for churches to be planted from El Paso, starting with our Horizon church plant in 2027.
CHURCH — Lord, go before our Horizon church plant team, and make them the first of many.
ME — Lord, help me discern whether I'm meant to support the work by going, or by staying.
The Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ Fund
- To make all the improvements we need to make, we need a total of 1 million dollars.
- We're holding some savings in reserve and committing $500,000 from our savings.
- We're asking the church to pray about contributing to the remaining $500,000.
- If you feel led, pledge on 9/27, give by the end of 2026.
Most church funds get a short, snappy name — Forward Fund, Impact Fund. This one doesn't roll off the tongue. But it carries our heartbeat: The Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ Fund.
