Our Kids Ministry exists to connect kids to Christ, their parents, and the church. Here's how we do it:
Our Philosophy of Ministry
Our theology of Kids Ministry is derived from and directly tied to Scripture. Our philosophy of Kids Ministry is an attempt to enumerate conclusions drawn from our theology, that will, in turn, inform our methodology of Kids Ministry.
Our theological commitment that all Ministry in the church has a specific purpose: discipleship and equipping means that our philosophy will be in those directions. This means that no ministry exists in and of itself, nor does it exist for its own sake – there is a reason and purpose for each Ministry. Kids Ministry does not exist because of a cultural demand; it does not exist because parents need a children's Ministry; it does not exist because kids need something fun to do during Sunday service. Kids Ministry exists to disciple our children, and to equip parents to disciple them as well, this for God's glory and our joy.
Based on our theological commitments, Kids Ministry exists to prepare and train children to be lifelong followers of Christ, trusting in his atoning sacrifice, serving in the church faithfully, and eagerly evangelizing the people the Lord has put around them. Our faithful work in Kids Ministry is preparing and laying a foundation for work that is yet to come. We are building children into Christ, into their parents, and into the church. Therefore, our Kids Ministry should be Christ-centered, parent involvement, and church-based.

About Cross of Grace Kids
During our church service, our Kids Ministry provides optional classes for a babies-6th grade. We hope to come alongside parents to help kids learn about Jesus and to support parents in their God-given task of raising their children. If you'd prefer to keep your children with you during our church service instead of sending them to class, feel free to do so.
Getting to Class
On Sunday mornings, our Kids Check-In is available before each service for parents to sign their kids into our Kids Ministry. Kids ages nine months to 5 years of age can be dropped off in their classrooms at the start of each service. Children 6 years of age and older stay with their parents for our time of singing and announcements. Then, before our time of Bible teaching begins, those children, along with their parents, are released to their age-appropriate class. Parents pick up their kids at the end of each of our services.
All our teachers are members of the church and have been screened before serving in Children's Ministry and received training through MinistrySafe. They are committed to providing a fun, safe, and loving environment for all kids.
We use The Gospel Project for Kids as our curriculum, which takes kids through the entire story of the Bible, explaining how each story relates to Jesus. You can see sample lessons and get more information on the Gospel Project for Kids Website.
