Vision Homework, Week 3: Identity as Witnesses
As disciples of Christ, we are called to go out and make disciples. We are surrounded by countless opportunities to obey this commandment daily. The Lord has given each of us spheres of influence (family, workplace, neighborhood, etc.) in which we can preach the gospel. God has sovereignly ordained even the time and place in which each of us is born (Acts 17:26). Therefore, the places of influence that you live in are part of God's design. Part of that design is that we might be able to preach the gospel and make disciples from among them.
List the gospel opportunities God has given you in the following areas:
Do not be discouraged if you have not started the process of building relationships with unbelievers for the sake of sharing the gospel with them. Be encouraged by the manyfold opportunities the Lord has given you to share the greatest news in all the world. God is inviting us to join Him in the spread of his fame and His gospel. This list is simply a starting place where you can seek to be faithful to the call that God has given you to make disciples.
Is there anything that holds you back from building relationships for the sake of the gospel with them? What can you do to grow in your capacity to communicate the gospel to those around you?
What is your strategy for building relationships for the sake of sharing the gospel to the people you listed above?
